Dialed

Cookie Policy

Last updated: 30 June 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Dialed ("we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on usedialed.io. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help sites remember your session, keep you signed in, and understand how the product is used. Similar technologies include local storage entries used to record your cookie preferences.

How we use cookies

We group cookies into two categories:

Essential cookies (always active)

These cookies are strictly necessary to operate Dialed. They cannot be disabled without breaking core functionality. They do not require consent under ePrivacy rules because the Service cannot function without them.

  • Authentication: httpOnly session cookies managed by Supabase Auth to keep you signed in securely.
  • Security: tokens and CSRF-related storage that protect your account from unauthorised requests.
  • Load balancing: infrastructure cookies from our hosting provider (Vercel) to deliver the application reliably.

Analytics cookies (optional — PostHog)

With your consent, we use PostHog to understand how users navigate Dialed, which features are used, and where we can improve the product. PostHog may set cookies or use local storage to assign a pseudonymous identifier. Analytics data is used for product improvement, not for advertising or selling your data to third parties.

Analytics cookies are notloaded unless you choose "Accept all" in our cookie banner. If you choose "Essential only", PostHog analytics remain disabled.

Cookie banner and your choices

When you first visit Dialed, a banner at the bottom of the screen asks you to choose between:

  • Essential only — only necessary cookies for auth and security are used. No PostHog analytics.
  • Accept all — essential cookies plus PostHog analytics cookies.

Your choice is saved in your browser's local storage under the key dialed-cookie-consent with a value of essential or all. The banner will not reappear unless you clear site data or use a new browser/device.

You can change your mind at any time by clearing cookies and local storage for usedialed.io in your browser settings, then revisiting the site to set a new preference. You can also use browser controls to block third-party cookies globally, though this may affect site functionality.
